Why is “make” used here?
For me, even in this case, it’s basically the same meaning of
the regular make.
In other words, you shape something which isn’t quite right
and you keep working at it and you finally make it into clear.
Like, imagining a blob of clay I think is a good example, right?
When it’s a blob, you don’t understand what’s going on, it’s not clear.
But if you make it clear, you’re making the shape understandable.

In short, we have to start from scratch.

What does “scratch” here mean?
