DIALOGUE – 会話全文
– We have to set up the stage for the high school graduation ceremony by five o’clock.
– If we’d started earlier, we would’ve done everything by now.
– OK, let’s finish it quickly,
– Could you carry the potted pine tree onto the stage? Oh, be careful. It’s heavy.
– Don’t worry. Look! I can carry this with one hand.
– Don’t fool around, Takashi.
– Oh, no! This branch has broken! What should I do?
Oh, I can use this glue stick to put it back together. Nobody will notice it.
– Listen to me. It’s a bad idea. You should tell our teacher and apologize.
– You’re probably right. I hope she understands.

So what’s the difference between listen and hear?

Because he’s right in front of me.
can’t help but：〜しない訳にはいかない

自動型：「動作がどこに向かうのか」を示すために前置詞・副詞が含まれる句動詞 が使われる
