句動詞（phrase of verb）のレッスン
the music is still considered cool.
その音楽は今でもカッコいいと思われている。
You’ve heard of Jimi Hendrix, haven’t you？
お前はジミ・ヘンドリックスって聞いたことがあるだろう？
hear of 聞き及んでいる。〜について聞く
「知っている」のニュアンス。ここは付加疑問文で「聞いたことがある」に「だよね」と念押し。
句動詞を使った方がスマートな例
frequently しばしば、たびたび
Everybody extinguish your cigarette. → Everybody put out your cigarette.
extinguish/put out 消火する
Let’s postpone this meeting. → Let’s put off this meeting.
postpone/put off 延期する
Let’s inflate some balloons. → Let’s blow up some balloons.
inflate/blow up 膨らます
句動詞（phrase of verb）はまとめて覚える
The start of the project was put off until next month.
そのプロジェクトの開始は来月まで延期された。
I was very well looked after by my Australian host family.
私はオーストラリアのホストファミリーにとてもよく面倒を見てもらった。
We were ripped off by a taxi driver at the airport.
空港でタクシーの運転手にぼられたんだよ。
rip off ぼる（法外な値段を請求する）

hundreds of - 何百もの
thousands fo - 何千もの
millions of - 何百人もの
※数にs 〇〇もの
2). Have you ever been let down by a friend？
let down がっかりさせる
「〜したことがある？」は Have you ever been を使う
